«It is Easter time. Today it is 20 days since my beloved Sister Liga has been missing. Police has been searching intensively but there are no leads found at the moment. They keep searching even through the Easter holidays, which I am truly thankful for.As I am sitting in hotel room my thoughts travel back in time to the day I last saw my Sister. How I kissed her on forehead before I left for yoga class thinking that I will see her after one hour.. I remember how we rushed to Kovalam Beach once we found out Liga has taken rickshaw there. How we were driving there together with people from Dharma Ayurveda Center and praying all the way to find her sitting somewhere at the beach.. I remember how hours were passing, how slowly worry started to take over.. First two days were the hardest, I couldn’t stop crying, and thinking of what has happened to my Sister, where is she? Does she have water, food, shelter is someone taking care of her..?
On third day morning I couldn’t lift my head from the pillow, I was laying in bed and thinking, how am I going to find my Sister? There were two choices – to lay in bed and cry, or have a faith in loving God to see us through this. From there on in all this sorrow I have been blessed to witness something immensely beautiful – the kindness, love and care of people around me. Selflessly they were holding my hand all the way through this journey.
Heartfelt thank to everyone from Dharma Ayurveda Healing Center, you were my Gardian Angels at the start of this journey and through your help more and more amazing people started to become part of the journey of finding Liga.
I was given contact of Chandramohan, media person that organised press conference to inform media about my Sisters disappearance, and many other there after, thank you for supporting me all the way.
On the 4th day I met Sreedevi from Manorama News, she is very gentle person with calming voice. I’m grateful for all the good advice she offered me on the steps I needed to take next.
On 5th day since Liga was missing we went to meet reporter from Anweshanam, Sunith. I know that Sunith came to do the report about Liga missing, and never thought that he will become involved deeper in this journey, but same us the others in his heart he knew that me and my family needed help to find Liga and he has been by my side ever since, another Angel in disguise.Sam started to contact me via Facebook offering any help I would possibly need, writing me words of encouragement and checking everyday how I was doing.
Ashwathy from Jawal joined the team soon after. She is a lady I deeply admire for the work she is doing, helping people in need. She has given me a lot of guidance. Many thanks for all your help.
Siva and Viju joined at the same time and have been by my side ever since, keeping in touch every day and helping all the ways possible from arranging meetings to distributing flyers.
Thank you to Rajkumar for leading the investigation of my Sisters search.
I thank you all endlessly for all you have done to help in Liga’s search! Your loving kindness has deeply touched my heart.
We also went to meet Father Yujin Perera from Latin arch diocese, he was very kind and offered as help by contacting Pastors from all the churches in the area and asking them to do an announcement and pass flyers to people at Sunday mass and hold a prayer for Liga’s safe return.
Everywhere I go people of Kerala have been incredibly kind and supportive, they all are saying “we are praying for your Sister”. People of Ireland and Latvia, our two beloved homes, are sending messages every day saying “We all are praying” and from so many other countries people are praying. Heartfelt thank you to you all.
This beautiful place, Kerala is know as The Gods Own Country, and I can see why, it is a place where so much selfless love and kindness comes from people. With all our prayers and faith together in unity as one big family, with loving Gods help we will find My Sister, we will find Our Sister.
Where ever you are Liga please know we are all with you in our thoughts and prayers, we all want to see you back safe. With love.»
